THE VISION…….. This event was created to:

Support Emerging Artists ~ Creating Opportunity

Provide an opportunity to gain exposure, get consumer feedback, and sell to the community with minimal financial risk.
Support Emerging Artists ~ Shopping Local

Encourage the community to shop local this season for Gifts worth Giving. Most of us have presents to buy, from somewhere, and Target won’t miss our business!

Support Emerging Artists ~ Fostering Creativity ~ Giving Back

20% of the proceeds are being donated to help create an art program for kids at a local community childcare center.

How this got started:

A note from Kayte.

I recently met a woman who is starting a business roasting her own coffee. Its delish! And such an interesting idea! I had to tell everyone. I placed an order with her for 30 bags for holiday gifts. I was planning to give to my kids teachers, the mail man, my neighbors, and for the Secret Santa office party. I was excited to find such a cool gift I could give.......and skip the gift cards. And support someone's dream at the same time. Just seemed like gifts worth giving.

Well, she was thrilled. Overly thrilled. Those sales would give her the $ needed to purchase more supplies and get the ball rolling. While target may not miss my sales, To HER, 30 bags made a big difference! I saw a  tangible way that *I* could make an impact.  Realizing that I could do more to help promote her, and other talented locals who were relatively "emerging", an idea was born.

The "Collective Artisan's Gift Gallery" was created to expand opportunities. There are no charges to the artists for participation. They don't have to bring 100 items to fill a table. if they are new, they may not have that. They don't have to spend their entire weekend manning a booth if they have prior obligations. And to give back, they are willing to donate 20% of their profits to foster creativity for kids. Really everybody wins.

And it feels good to give gifts worth giving.
